So I was born in Singapore and grew up there for about 12 years until I moved to USA. And my sister and I are having to deal with Racism everyday. Such as, my sister was called Asian when she went up in front of class to make a presentation. Hi ^_^, I'm very interested in Singapore, and would like to travel and maybe even work there someday. I'm a 20 year old Eurasian-American female, in my junior year of college. I've heard that Singaporeans highly value education, and I've also heard that there are many Eurasians in Singapore also. Does this mean that there's a better chance I'll be accepted if I go there, or will it not make a difference since I'm still a foreigner? What do Singaporeans think of Americans? What do Singaporeans think of outsiders working/living in their country, and how long could an American be expected to stay there before they wore out their welcome? I know some asian countries, like Japan, are very friendly to tourists but don't seem to like it when people have an "extended" stay in their country, like they're very protective of it or something? In short, what would people really think of me, and what sort of welcome and stay could I expect? Thanks :D!

Seriously, I've been here a month and just don't see what all the fuss is about? Sure, some places are worth a quick look but on the whole this city is quite disappointing if you're not here for shopping. I was walking the other day along the Saitama and could not believe how haphazard the architecture and road networks were, no attention at all given to cohesion or beauty. You'd think the richest city in the world would have spent some money on cityscaping, but not at all. Walkers here don't have droit de cité, it seems. And no, walking at night isn't really an option since most places are barely lit up. Being from Paris, obviously I'm prejudiced, but really, Singapore, KL, those cities are modern but have lots of charm and are great to discover on foot. Tokyo could definitely try harder (unless of course nobody gives a damn but me).

Does it make any difference if I missed a number on my postal code in the case of overseas shipping? I shopped online at Urban Outfitters July 27th and I got notifications that my items has been shipped on the 31st July. But the main issue is that whilst filling out the delivery information, I only entered a 5 digit postal code and I'm from Singapore (we have 6 digits!) but the text box only allowed 5 digits. BUT in the street address column, I did put in my full postal code. That should be okay right? But considering that my items have yet to reach me, (it's August 23rd here, now) I'm thinking that my items will NEVER reach me?! Please someone, help me!
