Open Question: Is Singapore insitute of management (SIM) worth pursuing?
I want to take business related studies in SIM. I doubt I can get into the other local university like NUS,NTU or SMU. I will be going for a 3 years business course in SIM. Is it a waste of time and money?
Because there are rumour that SIM graduates cannot find jobs. Employer prefers the other university grads. Any graduates from SIM can share your experiences getting a job and how the education system in SIM had prepared you in the working force.
If you had another chance to choose, will u still enrol in SIM and study that few years? I already holding onto a non-business related diploma from a local polytechnic (NYP) in Singapore.

I would like to know what are the answers from you guys after 3 years . Since this question was asked 3 years ago by "Confuse" .
<--------- Here is one answer from a yahoo member 3 years ago ------------->
Just like you, my result did not permit me to enrol in any local university, and financial issue also stop me from pursue a degree at oversea. Out of no other choice, I enrol to SIM and graduated with B.S.C. from SIM.
Frankly, sad to say I faced much competition with other candidates from various local U and oversea U when applying for a job.
It's took me TWO YEARS to get my current job. My friend from HR had once told me. Most employee prefer oversea graduate, follow by two local universties (NUS & NTU). SIM is just the last choice.

So , Did SIM improved over the years?
Thank you in advance.
