Poverty and the Catholics

I recently read an email from a success journal I subscribe to detailing how organised religion promote poverty globaly. I have to say that I totally agree with this statement and other details of the email. It basically outlined that the catholic church was preaching that it is noble to be poor and that sacrifice and poverty will get you into heaven. This subliminal programing has been subconsciously stopping people having a happy and full life for generations, creating a social loathing towards affluent people. This only makes the world a worse place to live. Imagine if every one was well off, we could all fly to Rio for a coffee !! Seriously though, this makes the Catholic church and its hierachy a bunch of hypocrites as it is well known that they are one of the wealthiest organisations in the world ever.

Time to get a 2nd passport??

Its happening..... the Omipresent Depression and Theft of Liberty and Rights Organisation (ODTLRO) ie the government are at it again. Here in Oz, they are discovering new ways to tax their trapped and fed up citizens. Since the introduction of the GST (Goods and Services Tax) of 10% to the base cost of everything, new taxes have been rearing their oh so ugly heads an average of about 1 every 5-6 months. As a result, Australia is now one of the heaviest taxed countries in the world. A few years back the ODTLRO found themselves with a billion dollar budget surplus and only a few months to the end of the financial year.

Wealth doesnt have to be risky

I have just started up my own consultancy helping people protect their assets and businesses in Australia. I was lucky enough to be mentored by probably the best asset protection specialist in Australia and become part of his mastermind group. BTW this is not a plug, so I wont mention names. But one thing that never seems to stop amazing me is poeples beliefs about the saftey of their assests. I'm not just talking about property, i'm talking shares, business capital, cars (technically not an asset, but an investment none the less) jewelery, rare stamps ... you get the idea. People tend to think that they are generally safe from litigation and our wonderful legal and justice system in todays society.

Frozen in Carbonite

Hi, back again with another tidbit I found on several sites that could be of interest to those who like a dose of the far fetched. It was reported on the BBC and several other sources that a team of scientists at Washington U have managed to put mice in a state of "extreme hibernation", allowing the mice to lower their metabolic rate to a state of suspended animation. They also managed to bring the mice "back" with no ill effects. After a few more tests, they will begin testing on larger mammals and then eventually, humans. How did they do this? In summary, they found that the use of hydrogen sulphide (H25) in low concentrations (80ppm) helped to regulate temperature and metabolic rate. Hydrogen sulphide is the gas that gives rotten eggs their smell, it also occurs naturally in Humans and can be toxic in high concentrations.
