Time to get a 2nd passport??
Its happening..... the Omipresent Depression and Theft of Liberty and Rights Organisation (ODTLRO) ie the government are at it again. Here in Oz, they are discovering new ways to tax their trapped and fed up citizens. Since the introduction of the GST (Goods and Services Tax) of 10% to the base cost of everything, new taxes have been rearing their oh so ugly heads an average of about 1 every 5-6 months. As a result, Australia is now one of the heaviest taxed countries in the world. A few years back the ODTLRO found themselves with a billion dollar budget surplus and only a few months to the end of the financial year. With this much money left over, it would be obvious to see that the people had been vastly over taxed. So very quickly they managed to spend it all. All of it. Every penny. Over a billion gone. Who knows where it all went (we can take an educated guess ... though) But instead of being honest about it and admitting they had robbed us all blind, they went on like nothing had happened, they did this so well that, somehow and beyond any reasonable explanation, they got re-elected. Considering what the choices were I can see how it happened though. Anyway, they introduced that damn GST, but it was supposed to replace income tax. The idea was that with GST, they could get the tax off all those under the table cash deals going around in various trades. But it seems they got their cake and ate it too! Now we have income tax and GST yee haa !! This leads me to the question... why should we pay all this tax?  Why should we pay any?? Now, let me make myself clear... I'm not suggesting we illegally avoid tax, that would be breaking the law. However there are ways of paying less tax. Interested?? I'm sure you are. Get a good accountant, a really good one is worth their weight in gold. A good place to start. Setup a business, spend money before you pay tax, then get taxed on whats left. This is how alot of the rich get richer. But if you really want to escape .... you can, and this is how. Do alot of research into getting a second passport. We are in a great position to do so here, because Australia is mostly made up of 2nd, 3rd and now 4th generation migrants. This gives us lineage and more importantly access to our forefathers home country. You can make enquiries at the local consulate into getting a passport. This is pretty much like getting second citizen ship and there are some formalities, but its really not that difficult. This second passport opens up a whole new world. What do I mean by this? If you spend less than 6 months out of a year in Australia, you cease to become a resident. You can still remain a citizen. You do not get taxed on any personal income! What some people are doing is they are funding their life in a second country with the savings in tax alone !! These people are PT's or Perpetual Travellers. This is best done if you have a job that you can take with you around the world. Thanks to the internet, this is very easy to do these days. Some examples of occupations that would fit into this life style; Professional Investor (stocks etc), writer, journalist, photographer, designer, architect... the list goes on. Think about it. The only thing stopping you at this point would be fear. And as we all know, fear does not exist.
